We were asked by Adobe to create a social campaign and develop a creative art contest with musical artist, Billie Eilish. Inspired by her newly released album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, our creative team conjured up visuals to reflect the idea of lucid dreams — a state where one is aware that she/he is dreaming and attempting to control the outcome of their dreams. With the concept of dreams in mind, we created a look and feel for the campaign that played with the idea of surrealism, hyperbole and distortion — abstract states that tend to haunt us in our dreams. Overlaying distorted typography on top of photography visualizes the juxtaposition of reality vs a dream world. Motion was added to allude to the physical feeling of falling asleep.
